It's important to listen to those that are most censored or dismissed
because computed algorithms are literally being weaponized against
already marginalized communities. If we aren't able to dismantle these
systems in a way that will allow no room for oppression online and offline,
the least we could do is understand that the currently existing
systems lack the ability to accurately replicate the complexities
of humanity/reality. Allowing for a safe space for oppressed identities
to freely express themselves means we will have a greater understanding
of the world and become more cognizant of the disparaties that exist
in our world solely due to uncontrollable, but very human, factors.
